Who I am in front of you
That is only partly true
Some parts are seen over time
Still others are only mine
What you see is confidence brimming
Just the surface barely skimming
My words to you speak power
Words to myself slowly devour
Attentive to your thoughts and emotions
Drifting deep into my ocean
Comforting you with a warm embrace
Wiping tears off my face
This world should feel like home
In my mind wandering alone
We need each other to thrive
Without help I won’t survive
